RUN, DON'T WALK ...

Tis the season for a lot of things...holiday parties, winter weather, government bailouts and….running!  Perfect Organics has partnered with two excellent local running stores, Pacers and Georgetown Running Company, on holiday shopping events and has been appreciative of the support and interest from the local running community in our product line.  The next time that a Perfect Organics representative will be communing with the runners and giving them hand treatments is on December 20^th in Chevy Chase, MD.  For more info and to RSVP, visit the following link http://www.runwashington.com/news/dec08ladiesnight.html

Since we support young female runners in Ethiopia via our partnership with the Girls Gotta Run Foundation, (www.girlsgottarun.org) it seems only fitting to support runners in our backyard!  The fusing of the green industry with the sports industry is occurring at both the micro and macro levels.  Last year the NFL joined the carbon neutral party when it offset its “Superbowl” emissions.  This year, the NBA implemented a “go green” program that appears to be taking “fan participation” to a new level.  The Houston Rockets have a month-long campaign to encourage the recycling of old cell phones.  During December, if you bring an old cell phone to the Toyota Center (the Rocket’s arena), you will receive 10% off at the Team Shop and the phones will be given to charities for reuse.   Whether it’s in DC, Houston or beyond, we all benefit from these great green initiatives!
