PERFECT ORGANICS OPPOSES USE OF NARCO PATCH 928
Tysons Corner, VA - Perfect Organics, a rapidly growing organic lifestyle brand and manufacturer of organic, vegan body care products, is concerned with the use of the NarcoPouch 928 field drug test to test for GHB (Gamma Hydroxy Buyrate), the so-called “date rape drug” after organic soaps / body washes free of detergents and chemicals and containing saponified oils and truly natural ingredients, like the Perfect Organics Ultimate 3-in-1 Body Wash, will always give a false positive for the drug GHB. The faulty drug test was exposed when Don Bolles, drummer for the legendary punk band The Germs, was put in jail for four days for possession of GHB, after he was pulled over for a broken taillight in Newport Beach, California on April 4th, 2007, and his van searched for drugs. The soap in Bolles’ van, Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soap, tested positive for the presence of GHB until a more accurate examination by the Orange County crime lab proved otherwise. The President of Perfect Organics, Debra Claire, states: “Clearly the NarcoPouch 928 is an ineffective instrument in measuring exclusively for the presence of GHB if a saponified vegetable oil will test positive for GHB as well. It concerns me to think that someone using the Perfect Organics Ultimate 3-in-1 Body Wash- an incredibly clean and effective cleanser- could be imprisoned because of an unsophisticated drug test. Perfect Organics stands by Dr. Bronner’s in insisting that police departments nationwide stop using the field test for GHB. ”
In an interesting twist, the NarcoPouch 928 proves to be an effective measurement of cleansers containing detergents made in part, or even entirely, from petroleum as these products do not test positive for GHB. Click here to view the Dr. Bronner’s “field test".
